Cool office: Moss wall, reclaimed barn wood bring the outdoors inside this recruiting firm's space (PHOTOS)
REPOSTED FROM ORLANDO BUSINESS JOURNAL:
Just because you run a small business, it doesn't mean you should skimp on your office space.
That's according to Ken Brown, CEO of Altamonte Springs-based Hire10 LLC, a t2-year-old recruiting and staffing firm specializing in the construction industry. In April, the firm moved seven employees into a newly renovated, eco-friendly, 1,000-square-foot office in the Premier Point South office building.
Despite its small size, the space features plenty of "wow" factors, such as a 21.5-foot moss wall, reclaimed barn wood and floor-to-ceiling windows. Along with that, each workstation has 28-inch Apple iMac computers, Polycom 5 series full-color desk phones and high-back leather executive seats set in an open floorplan workspace with mid-century common area furniture.
Other highlights in the office include:
- Lots of greenery indoors and out
- Rounded hallway walls
- Art on canvas
- LED halo lighting
Firms involved in the buildout of Hire10's space include Green Wallscapes, The Sign King and Foliage Design Systems.
Hire10 was named a winner of Orlando Business Journal's 2019 Coolest Office Spaces. This feature presents a different company's space each week through the end of September.
