Celebrating Gold: Our Award-Winning Biophilic Design at Polk County's Northeast Government Center from Iplants Magazine
We are thrilled to announce that our preserved moss wall project at the Northeast Government Center of Polk County in Lake Alfred, Florida, has received the prestigious Gold Award in the 2023 Biophilic Design Awards, presented by iPlant Magazine. This remarkable achievement recognizes our commitment to creating innovative, eco-friendly designs that seamlessly integrate nature into our everyday environments.
Our winning creation spans an impressive 350 square feet and is perched gracefully nine feet above the ground, offering a stunning focal point for the Northeast Government Center. The preserved moss wall is nothing short of a masterpiece, designed to resemble a beautiful sunrise or sunset, depending on the time of day.
Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this moss wall serves a practical purpose for the government building. By absorbing and diffusing sound, it acts as a natural sound barrier, significantly reducing noise pollution in the building. The lush greenery fosters a serene and calming atmosphere, which is particularly beneficial in a bustling government center.
Our commitment to biophilic design extends beyond aesthetics and functionality. This project aligns perfectly with our dedication to sustainability and eco-conscious choices. The preserved moss used in the wall is a sustainable material that requires no maintenance or water, making it an eco-friendly choice that helps conserve precious resources.
We are immensely proud of this accomplishment and grateful for the recognition bestowed upon us by iPlant Magazine and the Biophilic Design Awards for 2023. This preserved moss wall at the Northeast Government Center stands as a testament to our dedication to biophilic design principles that not only enhance our surroundings but also contribute to a healthier, more sustainable future.
As we celebrate this Gold Award, we remain committed to pushing the boundaries of design, art, and sustainability. Our passion for creating biophilic masterpieces that harmonize with nature and elevate our living and working spaces continues to drive us forward.
Thank you to the entire team who contributed to the success of this project, and thank you to the Polk County community for embracing and appreciating the beauty and functionality of our preserved moss wall. We look forward to continuing our journey in creating innovative, eco-friendly designs that enrich our lives and our environment.
