How to Install and Maintain Your Moss Wall: A Step-by-Step Guide

Venture X Moss Wall

Moss walls are a great way to add some greenery to your home or office space. They are low maintenance, eco-friendly, and can help bring calm and beauty into any space. In this step-by-step guide, we will show you how to install and maintain your moss wall.

Step 1: Choose a suitable location

The first step in installing a moss wall is to choose a suitable location. The ideal location should have indirect or filtered light and moderate humidity. Avoid direct sunlight or strong artificial lighting, as this can cause the moss to turn brown or fade more quickly. Also make sure it is in a place where people can't touch it on a regular basis. No watering is needed either.

Step 2: Measure the area

Measure the area where you want to install the moss wall. This will help you determine the amount of space you want to cover in moss. Review our gallery and collections to see the various options and design styles.  Schedule a call to discuss the project with our team.

Step 3: Prepare the surface

Before installing the moss, prepare the surface by cleaning it thoroughly. Remove any dust, dirt, or debris using a soft-bristled brush or a vacuum cleaner. We also recommend putting down plastic to cover the floors before hanging the panels.

Step 4: Hanging the moss panels

Start by laying out the moss on the floor so you know the order it should be installed. Start at the bottom of the surface and work your way up. Make sure to screw the moss panels firmly onto the surface to ensure good contact. If there is any bounce, just use another screw. Next step is to zhoosh the seams or add a little extra material (MAKE SURE IT MATCHES!) to cover over any lines.

Step 5: Maintain the moss wall

To maintain your moss wall, don't do anything to it! Please do not mist it. If you want to reinvigorate it if the humidity drops too low, you can steam it with a clothing steamer. To clean, use a blow dryer on low. Do not mist or over light the piece as this can damage the color. If you notice any dry or brown patches, we may have a green spray we can send you (for certain colors). If someone rips off a piece, use the material we sent in the repair kit to help patch it.

Conclusion

Installing a moss wall is a great way to add some greenery to your home or office space. With the right location, preparation, and maintenance, your moss wall can thrive for years to come. Follow these simple steps to install and maintain your moss wall, and enjoy the benefits of a natural and sustainable addition to your space.
